A Little History
Cumberland Trailer Sales became Burke's Trailer Mart. It was later changed to Burke Mobile Homes, Inc. and is now Burke Manufactured Homes, Inc.
Jerry and Burta Burke were very instrumental in the creation of the New York Mobile Home Association, which is now the New York Housing Association.
Vince Burke (son) was moving and setting up mobile homes when he was only a teenager. After Vince returned home from serving in the United States Air Force, he continued on the family business with his mother and wife, Sharon. Jerry Burke passed away in 1971 and Burta came to rest in 1998.
Today, Burke Manufactured Homes, Inc. continues to sell and service manufactured homes in the Finger Lakes region. Canandaigua Country Estates and Picture Book Park are both owned and operated by the Burke Family.
